12th Annual Byron Good Neighbor Days
Medallion Hunt 2021
Congratulations to our 2021 winners, Gavin and Jeremy Zabel! They were out hunting both days, decided to try the fire hall. The medallion was quietly and discreetly tucked behind a downspout and the sun for an instant shone on the tip of the medallion catching their eye!
Medallion Clues 2021
Clue #1: What is a neighbor? – Defined as: next to you. Right now my neighbors work the day through. Neighbors are known for how they work and play. Does the lawn look good? Do the children grow up and stay? What does this have to do with a shiny big coin? Not much right now, be neighborly and join!
Clue #2: Where is my neighbor? This block brings together family and friends. Familiar faces help the day begin. Its all so fresh every single day; There's work to do, sorry, can’t stay. As the day drives on peace comes my way; hoping I don’t see my family today.
Clue #3 Who is a neighbor? Those friendly and kind. Someone that helps when you are in a bind. Where I am now a dozen I see; they spend lots of time here, their second family. Valuable knowledge we all need to learn, prevents their jobs from taking a risky turn.
Clue #4 Why are they my neighbor? Because we value what they do, they are brave and well trained and drive cool trucks too. Good bye my good neighbors, by now I have gone, Thank you for your service! Continue to be forever strong!
Thank you to all that participated!
